Multi-purpose conveyor. Approximate length of 410 mtrs. 1200 mm wide. When used as ship off-loading conveyor. Belt speed is 4 mtrs per second. All other on-site uses: 1 metre per second.

Ships carrying bluestone are off-loaded at high speed 3 times per month at very high belt speed. When not used for ship unloading the conveyor is operated at normal speed to transport granite rock (Bluestone) material within the quarry. The maximum life of previous belts was 2 years. After fitting an UsFlex 1000/2 RS belt, belt life has more than doubled and has required significantly less maintenance. After 5 years in operation, the 8mm top cover has only worn by 2.5mm.
