The material being carried can be extremely hot and abrasive resulting in significant heat-load and rapid wear. Prior to the introduction of the Superfort Deltahete belting, there were two main problems. Firstly, the very short operational lifetime meant frequent belt replacements with the added costs of lost production and fitting. Secondly, poor delivery times meant that the customer needed to hold expensively large stocks of a replacement belt. Dunlop Deltahete was supplied and although the belt is still replaced after 15-20 weeks (by default) the operational performance is vastly superior and the availability from Dunlop stock assures the user of fast supply; improved continuity and reduced stocks of spare belts.
